Ellsy Hair is a beauty brand that focuses on hair accessories for women. They want to make a website where their customers can learn more about the brand, and find more informations about the products, and the details related to it.

The objective
As their product collection grew, they wanted to make a website to provide detailed information of their products, such as tutorials, guides, and suggestions, which could be overwhelming and cluttered if done only through social media posts.
The home page
The visitors are greeted with an auto-play carousel featuring the main products of the brand, to show a quick glimpse of the range of products. It is intentionally made auto-play so there is less friction for the users to see most of the contents. It then directly shows several products, and shows the main product as a highlight, followed by videos of the products used by influencers. This allows the visitors to know the products, and then shows that the products are loved by a lot of figures they are familiar with. In the bottom of the page, links to marketplaces are shown so they can easily buy the product if they are interested. It is also followed by an FAQ if perhaps they still have questions about the brand or the product.
Products page
The products page shows the list of products right away to make it easier for the visitors to find the product they want. The promoted product is highlighted at the top with a bigger component, and more context of the product to increase interest.
Product detail page
The product detail page is special to each product, but it also has a similar experience to make sure the visitor is not confused. It all shows the photos, the price, CTA buttons on the marketplaces, color and material variants, and also detailed information of the product.
Recap
With this website, potential customers can see a comprehensive range of Ellsy's products, see the detailed information, and choose which marketplace to buy the products. After doing surveys and research, users still prefer to buy from the marketplace for ease of use (no extra signup, package tracking, no more inputting addresses). But at the same time, the experience of finding the details of the product can be very overwhelming, and a brand is more credible if they have an official website. This website provides a solution to tackle all those needs for the brands.
